Serving Opportunities
Listed below are some of the areas where there are opportunities for God to use you in helping children to know Jesus, love Jesus, and follow Jesus. Please pray for where God wants you to serve.
Sunday Program
Children Worship allows children to learn to and actually worship God through songs and lessons. We have three classes at 9:15 – 10:45 am: Elementary (grades 1st to 5th), Kindergarten, and Preschool (ages 3 years to pre-kindergarten). All three classes need:
- Singspiration coordinator (one year term)
- Lesson coordinator (one year term)
- Singspiration teachers (3 month term)
- Lesson teachers (3 month term)
- Helpers (3 month term)
- Curriculum coordinator (one year term)
Sunday school helps children to learn God’s Word, the Bible, and how it applies to them. We have seven classes at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, one for each grade level: Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1st through 5th. The following are needed:
- Head teacher/coordinator for each class (one year term)
- Teachers for each class (3 month term)
- Helpers for the preschool and kindergarten classes (3 month term)
- Curriculum coordinator (one year term)
Nursery cares for our youngest children (birth to 3 years old) so that parents can enjoy worship service, Sunday school, and serve on Sundays. Nursery coworkers help provide a safe environment where young children can also experience God’s love. There are two sessions, 9:15 – 11:00 am and 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. Nursery needs:
- Head teacher/coordinator (one year term)
- At least 2 teachers for each session (3 month term)
Special Programs
Special children’s programs are programs specifically designed for children to attend. Some special programs this upcoming year include Treasure Hunt/Puppet Show (spring), Vacation Bible School (summer), and Harvest Festival (fall).
For each special children’s program, we are looking for:
- program coordinators
- planning team members
- prayer partners
- publicity team members
- activity/craft coordinators/teachers/helpers
- refreshment coordinators/helpers
- nursery coworkers
- etc.
Supporting children’s programs are programs where other ministries are holding events and the Children Ministry helps them by providing programs for the children of the attendees. Some supporting children’s programs include support for Baptism services, Members’ meetings, Summer picnic, Gospel meetings, Missions conference, and Christmas celebration.
For each supporting children’s program, we are looking for:
- program coordinators
- planning team members
- prayer partners
- activity/craft coordinators/teachers/helpers
- nursery coworkers
- etc.
Additional serving opportunities
Additional serving opportunities include being involved with:
- Children Ministry prayer meetings (2nd Thursday of each month)
- Parent communications (newsletters, special notifications, etc.)
- Bible reading club
- Character training program
- Teacher appreciation
